This weight-loss thing is slow. I mean... really slow. But I've definitely seen a change!
The weight on the scale may not always move as much as I'd like it to, but my clothes are fitting better and I'm noticing a lot more energy- I'll take that over numbers moving ANY day!
As I'm getting into the "healthy living" mentality, one thing that has helped me TREMENDOUSLY is reading this book:
Lysa really puts things in their proper perspective. Like I've been learning, it's not about numbers going down on the scale so that I can feel better about the way I look. It's about overcoming my gluttony. It's about surrendering EVERYTHING to Jesus- yes, even that triple chocolate cupcake with buttercream frosting. It talks about how some of us crave food more than God- and about how to change that.
I'm not done reading it yet, but this book has already encouraged me in incredible ways. You can buy it here if you're interested.

I've been using the kitchen scale several times a day and loving it! Now I can count my calories more accurately while I'm trying to lose weight! Thanks for your giveaway! I've definitely become more dependent on it! Woo hoo!
